Homecoming 2008 has come and gone. Our special guest was Warren Read, author of The Lyncher in Me: A Search for Redemption in the Face of History. Below are some pictures from that gathering. The 2009 annual Homecoming will be on Sunday, August 2nd. Our keynote speaker will be Mark Miles, Deputy State Historical Preservation Officer for the State of Missouri with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Keep up the good wor. i visited the church when I was doing a black history tour of Missouri. Best wishes for your homecoming in Aug. I will send you a black heritage newsletter where I include something about Penny Town

I think it would be very helpful to have directions to the church posted on your Web site. It’s not very easy to find if you’re not a local person. Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion, Kathy. We will work on getting directions up as soon as possible.
Best,
Todd Lawrence
